Year five students - making mothers and babies

Today the year five students made mothers and babies.
The Ormiston Campus is  on the original site of the Grey Sisters, who looked after mothers and babies. This year five class made some mothers and babies and the other year fives will make the Grey sisters looking after them.

It is also an important part of our mural because many of the girls will one day become mothers and their education will also assist in this very important future job of being a mum.

Year 4 students- what I want to be when I grow up!

Year 4 students used a scratching technique to write onto tiles about what they want to be when they grow up and how education is important for being able to do what you want in life.
The girls also did some lovely scratched drawings.
Well done, they look wonderful!

Year 1 students - Making the main text for the Mural

The year One students used a range of stamps and alphabet plaster moulds to make letters and words for the mural.

Then they painted them with underglazes all sorts of bright colours, which will be even brighter after firing and glazing!!

The year four class also added to these by painting some letters for us.
We are very excited about this colourful words and sentences, so thanks to all who helped with this today.
